Deer
Valley® revolutionized the ski industry in 1981 by providing the attentive
service, gourmet food and luxury accommodations one would experience at
a fine hotel. Deer Valley was honored in 2001 by being named the #1 Ski
Resort in North America by the readers of SKI magazine, and proudly hosted
the 2002 Olympic Winter Games slalom, aerials and moguls events. Exceptional
customer service, consistent quality and attention to every detail are
all part of the “Deer Valley Experience.” Four mountains offer a
wide variety of terrain, allowing the guest more than ample opportunity
to indulge in over 300 inches of light, dry Utah powder annually.
Since
revolutionizing the ski industry in 1981, Deer Valley Resort® has continued
to strive to provide what guests would expect from a world-class ski resort.
Most of their improvements this summer are simply to enhance that feeling
of spaciousness. They will be adding additional ski equipment storage space,
deck and plaza space for guests. they are also replacing one of their triple
chairlifts, Sultan, with a brand new high-speed quad, and increasing its
length. This will provide skiers with more vertical drop and more skiable
acres to enjoy.
Due
to great popularity during its inaugural season last winter, Deer Valley
will offer its Fireside Dining at Empire Lodge two nights a week during
ski season, on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Past improvements
included new high-speed chairlifts, new snowmaking, as well as maintaining
the 2002 Olympic Freestyle venues, now used annually for the Freestyle
FIS World Championships, which will be held January 13-15, 2006.
